St. Mary's was built by the local orchardists in 1938. In those days, East Kelowna was a long way from Kelowna and people were looking for a worship space closer to home. For many years our congregation was made up of those who lived and worked in the area and there are still a few founding families that worship with us each Sunday.

Over the years St. Mary's, like East Kelowna, has changed. Many members of our congregation now come from other areas of Kelowna because they have found in St. Mary's a church that felt like family.

We're a small congregation and we're blessed with many grandparents. We work hard to care for each other and we deeply value the relationships we have with each other.
